cosmicdork asked: Wow. I am absolutely captivated by your style! You seem to have so many ideas that just make me go all starry-eyed. I just started working digitally instead of traditionally, and your blog is a great place for inspiration to improve! What is your current occupation? What was your college major? I don't mean to throw these questions at you, but I've been struggling with if I want to be an animation or illustration major. And I just want to see where your major took you. Thank you!
ahh, thanks so much for the compliments! I’m currently working at Disney TV on a new show called Star and the Forces of Evil. I studied visual development at the Academy of Art in SF for my masters. I originally did graphic design for my undergrad at a state college, but it wasn’t what I really wanted. I got a job later at electronic arts as a character designer, and fell in love with the work. So i decided to go back to school. (I think… even if you pick something and it doesn’t suit you it’s okay, you’ll find what you love if you keep going?) It’s taken me a long time… and even right now, i’m working as a designer but I want to move into storyboarding. I’ve been taking classes at Concept Design Academy for it. :) I hope that helps a little? And everything you learn along the way will only add to your skills!
cerberuscorps7 asked: why do you put down your art? it's not crap... it's BEAUTIFUL!!
ahhhh… ;_; thanks, just keeping the expectations low LOL…
ask-rarity-kor asked: your lastest drawing's instrument is Heagum? a korean traditional instrument? And i want to know how can you do coloring in your line?
it’s actually a Chinese instrument (called an er hu)… but i’m sure there’s different versions of it all over asia.
for the coloring? I just fill in an area? I’m not 100% sure what your asking, but it’s all digital. :)
